You can easily enjoy day at the beach in Barcelona. There are lifeguards on duty until 7pm. The seawater temperatures are generally warm and the beaches are well taken care of.

Playa de la Barceloneta is the most popular beach, also here you can find both locals and tourists. Along the beach runs a walkway full of bars and restaurants. This beach can get quite busy during the summer months. In Barcelona you are never far away from some interesting architecture. On Playa de la Barceloneta stands a statue from the artist Rebecca Horn called Homenatge a la Barceloneta.

Levante

The beach of Llevant is the last one that was created on the Barcelona coastline. It is situated alongside the Mar Bella beach at the neighborhood Barceloneta and was opened to the city in the summer of 2006. Its length is approximately 380 m.

Playa de Sant Sebastià is located next to the industrial dock and stretches in the direction of Playa de la Barceloneta. It is popular amongst locals and visitors. There is a seafront promenade with many restaurants and retail outlets.

Nova_Icaria

Playa de la Nova Icaria is close to Port Olimpic. This Barcelona beach has a seafront promenade with many restaurants, cafes and bars. It is more quiet than the beaches of Barceloneta and is worth visiting if you want more space.

Nova_Mar_Bella

Playa de la Nova Mar Bella in Sant Marti is the final beach of Barcelona’s coast and has good access for people with disabilities.
