"The Historiador apartment is fantastic. It is located on a quiet street, with lots of food shops on the corner. The train from Barcelona airport stops at el clot arago, and is only 5-10 mins walking distance. Even closer is a metro station, so you can get about very easily.
The flat is very stylish, the kitchen is quite small, but that doesn't really matter in Barcelona as the range of restaurant options is great; we had some of our best meals at small backstreet places offering menu del dia.
The price is excellent if you have 4 or more people staying, especially if you compare the cost to staying in a Hostal or guest house.
A few tips we picked up whilst we were there:
Buy the Targeta 10 metro ticket at the airport train station, it is the cheapest way of getting about, 10 journeys for less than 8 Euros.
If you are going to visit Montjuic (Miro, castle, poble espanyol, caixa museum, archeology and ethnography museums) DO NOT go on the Cable Car from La Barceloneta - it costs 12 Euros for a return journey. The cable car takes you over the harbour, but the car is not that big, and when 20 people are in there, your view is pretty limited. Also, the station on Montjuic is not close to the main attractions. Instead, get the metro to Paral-lel station, then transfer onto the funicular, which will take you up to a much more central location in Montjuic. There is another cable car which takes you to the highest point - the journey lasts much longer, you have a smaller cable car and the view is far more interesting - and it only costs 9 Euros!!
If you are on a budget, it is probably not a good idea to have a drink in places around the harbour in La Barceloneta, or Placa catalunya - even the most simple looking bars are likely to add on a substantial service charge. We had a great time at Gracia - a younger crowd, lots of student bars etc.
I would reccommend this apartment to anybody."
