"If you want away from the noisy crowds and pushing and shoving of unruly tourists, this is most assuredly the right place for you! I could walk to all experiences in 30 minutes or less (9 minutes or less by metro, which is just down the street, but metro costs have doubled and it's just ridiculous to pay 2 € for a 6 minute ride), and frankly, i like to walk and experience the real life and living in any environment I explore. Granted, Sagrada Familia was about a 50 minute walk, maybe not your gig, but I loved it...
Environmental trash bins directly across entrance from apartment; wonderful Mercadona supermercado maybe 100 meters walk from apartment. Prices so cheap I brought back 30 pounds of Spanish cheese to share with my friends... all at a cost of less than 15 €... WONDERFUL custom dress shop across street from Mercadona... I spent almost nothing in Barcelona, but I did spend 200 € at the dress shop, and don't regret one penny.
The apartment? Well, it's pretty nice, but I am used to renting an entire home with pool, 3-4 bedrooms, 2 to 2 1/2 baths, so the apartment took some getting used to. But that's just me. The staff was wonderful and I was so pleased with their precision and attention to detail. But at the same time, and you must indeed take this advice seriously, it is all about what your expectations are.
The deck? Well, I’m assuming you’re my size (size 4 US)… otherwise, the deck will be worthless to you. I had to suck it in just to be able to get out the door to enter the deck.
The apartment was absolutely perfect in terms of location and staff attention; the size of the apartment really weirded me out. I cannot imagine more than one person in the apartment; it is laid out like a trailer house in the US. Of the 50 square meters, at least 15-20 square meters is allocated to the gorgeous entryway... and the very long hallway. After that, you are crammed to the max. Go there alone, or maybe two persons. Otherwise, you will be at each other's throats bumping into each other. There is also an outrageous clear acrylic coffee table in the "living room".. you will run into it every night if you make the long trek from the master bedroom to the master bathroom, which are at opposite ends of the apartment. I pushed the coffee table all the way to the "couch" to try to avoid running into it. I never even bothered to sit on the couch.
Wifi simply disappeared on my 2nd to last day there...not good if you work for a hospital and spend much time on work-related business (remember: with the time difference, you can do work and still enjoy your holiday... but ya gotta have that ADSL wifi with your smartphones, and being in the computer business for almost 40 years, i tried every trick in the trade; there was no getting the wifi back...) That caused HUGE problems for me.
Ralph was great on departure, although I pointed out several areas that are legal liabilities (bad for them, having years of legal experience...) I watered all the plants thoroughly as requested in the instruction sheet, all trash was disposed of, did all the dishes and put them away, did all the laundry and put everything away except the sheets which had just finished drying as Ralph arrived. Yes, I don't have to do such things, but doing such things has earned me high marks with my European hosts, who never ask me any more for a "damage deposit" because of course, word spreads after three years. I was fairly shocked to be asked for a damage deposit of 200 €, given my proven record of leaving an establishment in far better shape than I find it...some of the dishes were nasty dirty; thank God someone left an old Senseo coffee pad and stale water in the Senseo coffee maker so I could figure out how it worked... no instruction from David... but it does make great coffee; I'm going to buy one!
In summary, despite these small inconveniences? Rent this apartment. But make sure you have a clear view of your expectations. A couple, maybe a couple with a child, would work. BUT, and this is a very important BUT... the location is absolutely perfect, overcoming all the negatives for me. You absolutely do NOT want to be in the Ramblas area unless you have only one desire: and that is to party all night long and never sleep. Not for me... and I highly doubt not for most reviewers. This location is fantastic!

My only moan (and this is a minor point) would be the shower curtain, which kept 'blowing in', making the floor get wet - couldn't a glass door be fitted instead?"

"A beautiful and quiet location for staying in Barcelona. The apartment is just 50m from the metro station (Rocafort L1) and 15 minutes walking from the city center (Plaza Catalunya). The location is fantastic, quiet and ideal for relaxing after sightseeing in Barcelona and not so crowded and noisy as La Rambla area. The apartment includes everything you need plus free wi-fi. Finally, the key-holders Pilar and Ralph, were friendly and really helpful with us anytime we needed any information and instructions about the city. I would definitely recommend this place for everyone!!!!!"

"We stayed in the Donna apartment for 5 nights in April 2011. It is fantatsticaly located and great value. It's an easy walk right to the heart of Barcelona, but if you don't fancy walking the underground station is 1 minute walk from the front door and it's on a line which can get you all across Barcelona in 20 minutes.
The apartment itself is spacious with a nice balcony and decently furnished throughout. It's not the height of luxury, but for the price it's very good and you won't find anything at this level better maintained or located.
Probably most important to mention is that the enjoy apartments office were very helpful and looked after our bags for the whole of or last day. They were professional and helpful - really highly recommended."

"Geweldig,smaakvol en compleet ingericht appartement. Volodoende koffiepads en WC-papier aanwezig ;-)(zie eerdere reacties). "Een mooi appartement met 2 slaapkamers en mooie keuken ; met lift op een gunstig gelegen plek tov centrum. Metrohalte op hoek van de straat en supermarkt, bank, koffie- en eetgelegenheden in de buurt. De straat waar het appartement aan ligt is druk maar na een dag in Barcelona is het een prima verblijf. "A lovely base for exploring Barcelona and very convenient for the Metro. Although just off Gran Via it was relatively quiet. A few basic items, such as milk etc would have been useful on arrival as would an extra toilet roll or two and a couple of extra pillows would also have been nice. The apartment is very comfy for two people, but any more than that would be a squeeze.
All in all a lovely apartment, and also very good communication with the company."

"enjoyed our stay in this apartment, it was very close to the metro and in a nice area. the apartment was clean and pleasant, with everything we needed. the only thing we weren't keen on was the coffee machine - those little sachets produced foul coffee - but it was easy to go across the road for a coffee so that was not a big problem. contact person was also helpful and friendly - all went smoothly."

"This is my second time in BCN and this experience was so amazing and pleasure! Very nice location near metro, supermarket up to 2 minutes from apartments! "Me and my friend was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the apartment. It was much nicer in reality! It is perfectly placed for everything. Metro is in the same street (2 stops from La Rambla), restaurants, pubs, pharmacy and grocery store. Although the apartment is situated on the street, there was little sound of traffic. Apartment complex is very quiet. It suited us perfectly. The apartment is fully equipped and nicely furnished. It was perfect for two people, but you can be more. The service was very good!"

"Lovely and quiet area, yet very central and within walking distance to many places of interest. The apartment was well equipped. Washing machine would have been more useful than dish washer. Having internet was most useful.
The only suggestion I would have is adding an English news channel to the tv package. Luckily we had our laptop with us, otherwise we would not have been able to know what was going on with all the airport closures.
Service was second to none. Chloe was an absallute gem."
