For the tourists in the same area just behind Placa Espana you have the area of Montjuic which contains The Royal Palace, The Botanical Gardens, Miro Museum and some of the most spectacular views in Barcelona.
In the other direction walk about 10 minutes and you are at the Passeo de Gracia, this is where two of the most spectacular Gaudi creations are located.

Please note that before heading to your apartment on your arrival day, you will need to come to our office in Ronda Universidad, number 20, 3rd floor - 3rd door (ring bell 3-3) in order to do the payment and collect the keys. Ronda Universidad is located off Plaza de Cataluña. To get to our office from the airport you may use the shuttle bus and get off at the last stop.
